The Orality Institute has a new office! The basement remodel project is complete and the former workshop has been transformed into a beautiful place for ministry. The completion of this office gives order to the information and organization to the tasks before us. I expect that these receipts will be timely as well.

The board has met three times and they have taken on responsibilities for the ministry:

  • Pastor Paul Kneeland – Chairman
  • Pastor Peter Ward – Secretary
  • Pastor Wayne Hjermstad – Treasurer
  • Wayne Floan – Vice Chair
  • Greg Johnson –Emmaus Representative

Partnership conversations have been happening with Hope Centers for Children of Africa, World Mission Prayer League, Lutheran Bible Translators, Christ Footprints in Africa, the Ethiopian Lutheran group called Mekane Yesus, and Eastern European Missions Network. The board members have also encouraged me to expand the use of oral teaching in the U.S..

The potential for expanded ministry is great. Pray for discernment, open doors into these opportunities, and part-time missionary partners. The next trip will be to Instituto Biblico Cristo Por Su Mundo in the Baja of Mexico, September 16th-23rd. It will be my second trip to their Bible School. They have been very enthusiastic about the training and we look forward to what develops from this training.

Blessings,
Pastor Kevin Olson
